WOODLAND LADY

she looks upon this sacred site
a place that stands so fine
where the woodland stream still whispers
and the freedom all is mine
who is this beautiful lady
the one who silently draws near
as she fills my eyes with her memories
of the things she held so dear
her face portrays such beauty
frozen through time in stone
as we stand together in silence
a timeframe we share alone
she takes away all fear now
as alone in her woodland we stand
where the silence is almost heaven sent
and the night falls upon the land
but who is this woodland lady
with moonlight on her face
who silently watches over
not a leaf moves in the forest
no person remains in sight
just the lady of the woodland
and the stream that flows nearby
i thank her for my time here
and for the silence where iv been
but the memories of this lady
remains with me unseen

halloween

oh no its october 31st
its time for ghosts and ghostly things
time for little children
to paint thier faces
to try and be as scary as can be

with red paint for blood
and big false teeth
to bite you with
oh no they caught me in

so is it " trick or treat " i say
or do i have to pay
with something other than sweets
with mischieviouse little faces
as they go about the local streets

oh to be young with no worries
to be happy and with bright eye's
and to have a mummy that care's
as you have us adults running for sweets
before you make curdling screams
and shout ," hey mrs " is it trick or treat.

the answer is , " enough "

now if thats all you'r wanting
your medicines you can keep
would you just kindly run away
and let me get some sleep

blue as the sky!

goes through the corn

we dont have to worry any more

we dont have to worry any more
if my little jayde makes a noise
as we have our new home in the town
and she can bark at the girls and the boys
as they pass our window on thier way to shops

its great here in our new home
now we can relax and be happy
every single day in our new home
jayde runs up and down the stairs
and in and out the back door
she cant believe the freedom
she has got in her brand new home

my little princess

my little princess

jayde bramblerose

is the highligh of my life

its such a shame at the moment

that she is not with me to see , me

through the unhappiest time in my life

for without my little princess

my life is very-very dull

cos she brightened up my day

and made a rainbow appear in my life

i love my little princess

she's the apple of my in my fruit bowl

of which i would love to take one out

and make it into my princess

so we could be together and go out and about

dear god help me to find a place

to get out of this place here

so me and my little princess

can be together ever more

the only consolation is

that at the moment she is happy

to be with my grandaughter

victoria and all her family

but i cant wait for the moment

when jayde come's back home

to be with me for ever

in our brand new home that will have a garden

for jayde to play and run around

The sunshine in my life

I have a little dog
That is the sunshine in my life
She makes me happy to be alive
" But boy " i wish she wouldnt bark
I hear the nieghbours say to each other
there she goes again " just hark "

Thats jayde bramblerose
The little dog next door
Making all that noise
No one dare cross her path
because all she will do is " bark "

But although i worry about the noise
My nieghbours arent complaining
About my little Jayde bramblerose
As they love her as much as me
She is just telling them one and all
Dont you know its time for tea
And a game with me and my ball

i had a dream last night

I had a dream last night
It was so very scary ,that.
it was like it was real life
I saw a fire so very red
With coals all glowing bright

all except one piece of blackened coal
that stood out from all the rest
And in my dream my little dog
Ignoring all the heat
put her head right in the fire, and
took out the blackened piece

I cannot understand this dream
What ever can it mean
As not once but tree times
" Jayde " took out this piece of black coal

Is some one trying to tell me somthing
or showing me " everything " is alright
Am i about to get my dream
The " bungalow " i want so bad

You Tell Me You see fairies

You tell me you see fairies

watch them whirl and twirl and fly

You say i do not see them " cos "

they're very-very shy

And very-very magical

And very-very wise

And only ever show themselves

To wide and wondering eye's

If i sit still beside you

Why then , i may just catch

Thier game of tag or hide and seek down by the cabbage patch

All are glad in spider silk

Newly spun at dawn

One has just washed out her wings

And looks a bit forlorn

Thier laughter rings like bluebells

Thier smiles are sunbeam bright

They play and play the whole long day

And never ever fight

By night they gather moonbeans

all shiny , new and clean

To weave a silver coronet

A gift for mab , thier queen

They dip it in a rainbow

So it shines with every hue

Then spangle it with diamonds

Gleaned from the morning dew

And elves are mounted on thier steeds

Field mousies , sleek and brown

Riding forth to gather in

Bags of thistledown

To stuff the tiny pillows

and duvets , soft and deep

to keep the fairies cosy

wWhen they snuggle down to sleep

You tell me you see fairies

Where i see leaf and stalk

I hear the wind a-whistling

But you hear fairy talk

There has to be a reason

And the reason has to be

That i'm a grown up mummy

And you are only three

and'ere you leave your childhood

As,little,you must

I hope that they will sprinkle you

With silver fairy dust

Then with years flown and you all grown

Perhaps yourself a wife

You will always see the magic

In the cabbage patch of life

Before You Break My Heart

Written on behalf of Nan and Jayde Bramblerose

Before you break my heart in two
Before you make me cry
Tell me why you're making me
Turn to my baby and say 'goodbye'

Before you hurt me any more
Before you make me weep
Tell me why I will now
Have to be alone when I sleep

Please tell me why you're hurting me
Why you're taking my baby away
Please tell me what I did to you
To make you act this way

I kept my baby quiet
I never let her bark
I took her up the road to pee
Even in the dark

So, tell me what I did to you
To make you hurt me so
And tell me why I now have to
Let my baby go

there come's a day

there come's a day in every one's life
that things dont seem to go right
and today is just one of those days
that all is not well in my life

if people would keep thier noses to themselves
everything would have been alright
so much has happened to cause me strife
for me and the little girl in my life

oh i wish with all my heart
that i could go back just one week
to when the little dog that i cherished
that Jayde my little dog i could keep

you see the angel in my life
and me are about to be parted
for a while our live's
will be altered

but hopefully in the near future
things will soon settle down
and me and my little dog " Jayde"
will never again have to part

so god willing as i sit here and cry
the tears that i shed for my little dog "Jayde"
will soon fade away and dry
and we will be able to live together
for ever and ever again

As spring Turns To Summer

as spring turns to summer
and the robin's build thier nest
with twigs and bit's and pieces
they really do thier best

the nest is built for comfort
for thier tiny little eggs.
in a couple of weeks of sitting
feather's all fluffed and wings spread

one after another out pop's a tiny head
now mum and dad are bussy
with flying back and forth
beak's full of bug's and catterpillars

ever watchfull of a prowling cat
or other's that like to prey
upon thier tiny fledgeling's
with nothing for cover but the sky

mum and dad have done thier best
the fledgeling's have grown thier feather's
with practice fluttering's
they have grown up and All have fled the nest

a little mixed up

just a line to say i'm living
that i'm not among the dead
though i'm getting more forgetful
and mixed up in my old head

i've got used to my arthritis
and to my dentures i'm resigned
i can manage my bifocals
" but " gosh i miss my mind

sometimes i cant remember
standing at the lowest stair
" if "i must go up for something
or have i just come down from there

and before the fridge so often
my poor mind is filled with doubt
have i just put food away or
have i come to take some out

there are times when in the darkness
with my night cap on my head
i can't decide if i'm retiring or
about to get out of bed

so if i owe you a letter
there's no point in getting sore
i may think that i have written
and dont want to be a bore

there i stood before the mail box
with a face so very red
instead of mailing you my letter
i had opened it insted

my little angel

yes i have a little angel
her colour is black & tan
she has the brightest eye's
and the cutest button nose
(and she's mine- all mine-all- mine)

I love my little angel
she's the best thing
since sliced bread
i hug her to me every day
(and she's mine-all mine-all mine)

without my little angel
my life would be so dull
when i wake up in the morning
she's there for me to hug
( cos she's mine-all mine-all mine )
