As spring Turns To Summer

as spring turns to summer
and the robin's build thier nest
with twigs and bit's and pieces
they really do thier best

the nest is built for comfort
for thier tiny little eggs.
in a couple of weeks of sitting
feather's all fluffed and wings spread

one after another out pop's a tiny head
now mum and dad are bussy
with flying back and forth
beak's full of bug's and catterpillars

ever watchfull of a prowling cat
or other's that like to prey
upon thier tiny fledgeling's
with nothing for cover but the sky

mum and dad have done thier best
the fledgeling's have grown thier feather's
with practice fluttering's
they have grown up and All have fled the nest
